Overview

Yamuna Expressway, situated in the southern parts of Greater Noida is a fast growing locality. It is the longest 6-lane (extendable to 8-lanes) expressway in India which stretches up to 165 km connecting Greater Noida with Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This 205 km long stretches, controlled-access expressway, connecting Greater Noida with Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of India's longest six-lane controlled-access expressway stretches. The expressway starts from Greater Noida and ends at Kuberpur on NH 2 towards Kanpur and Agra. The Yamuna Expressway was previously known as the Taj Expressway as it connects Greater Noida, a proximal area to the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) with the Taj Mahal in Agra. The Yamuna Expressway Project was conceived with the idea to not only reduce the travel time between Noida and Agra but also to open up avenues for Industrial and urban development of the region and provide the base for convergence to tourism and other allied industries. Today this whole stretch along the Yamuna Expressway is busy with real estate activity.
